Thanksgiving Thanksgetting
I took this picture on my way home from campus, trekking though one of the many nights we had this semester. I actually stopped on a corner to take this picture, and I used the inside of the shield on my moped helmet to have a layer of water droplets framing the clock. Later, I posted it on Instagram with the following.

Thanksgiving Thanksgetting
There are a lot of things each of has to be thankful for, but it's how we show our appreciation that counts. Honestly, it sometimes seems like there aren't even enough minutes in the day to sit down with somebody and thank them for everything they do, let alone send a text to someone or tell them how important they are. Thanksgiving is a day that has become centered around sharing what are thankful for. The "why we are thankful" part should be apparent every day in our interactions with people and through our activities. Today was a great reminder for me to have an attitude of gratitude as much as possible.

"There's no use in grumbling
when the raindrops come tumbling.
Remember, you're the one who
can fill the world with sunshine."
Snow White
While I go about my happy life during the busiest time of the year, I like to sort of give myself a pat on the back because I know I deserve it. Mostly, I think about people who are struggling, for various reasons, way more than i ever do. There are hundreds of terrible things happening in the world every day that cause wonderful people to suffer. To lose friends and family, to prepare for their own battles, and to help people in need. If I ever needed a reminder to think about people before myself, the time was now.
